Dear Families and Staff,

We are writing to update you on the incident that occurred earlier this evening where we received a potential threat towards a student.

Due to the cooperative effort with our law enforcement and administration we were able to determine that there was no threat. There is no danger to our school community regarding this incident.  Again, all students and staff are safe, and there is no active threat at this time.

A photo of a handwritten note was posted on social media causing concern. We want our community to know that the note in question was from an incident last week where students were instructed by a staff member to write down what they believed they had overheard. Those statements were found in the building this evening by a student who turned them over to the school administration. There is no current, credible threat related to the note that was found, and school will continue as normal on Tuesday.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for your partnership in keeping our students and staff safe.

Sincerely,

Kevin Schmutzler,

Superintendent
