Note to Parents: Color coding supplies by subjects helps students quickly identify subject materials in their locker. This is not mandatory, but it is extremely helpful. For instance, you may use a blue notebook and blue folder for math and a green notebook and green folder for science. Also, separate subject notebooks are helpful if teachers need to collect student notebooks to check. The multiple subject notebook, although easier to get to every class, often have subject matter dispersed throughout without any order. Please discuss this with your child and help him/her make the best decision for him/herself. Please label ALL folders and notebooks on the front covers. Students often forget their materials in a classroom, and having names labeled on the front of materials helps ensure they locate their missing materials quickly.
