Dear Families and Staff,

I am writing to make you aware that the West Iron County Public Schools administration was notified this evening of a reported threat found on a note towards another student.  The potential parents of the student have been contacted. The matter is under active investigation by law enforcement.  If you have any information regarding this matter, please contact the school resource officer, Deputy Allen at  jallen@westiron.org. 

At this time, law enforcement has not identified any imminent danger. Out of an abundance of caution, there may be increased law enforcement presence at our school tomorrow. 

As always, the safety and wellbeing of our students and staff remain our top priority. 

We encourage anyone who hears or sees anything concerning this matter to notify a teacher, staff member, or another trusted adult right away. Thank you for your continued partnership in maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment.
