Dear Wykon Parents & Staff,

In our ongoing efforts to make you aware of matters affecting our school, we want to let you know about a situation that briefly affected school today.  

Our Stambaugh Elementary School was placed in a non-emergency Hold status for a staff members medical needs. In order to keep the hallways clear, all students and staff remained in their classrooms. 

The Hold lasted about 20 minutes and then school operations returned to normal.

What is a Hold? 

During a Hold, all students remain in their current classrooms and do not travel to other parts of the building.  Students will experience business as usual in the classroom, although they may remain there after a bell rings.
