The Iron Area Health Foundation recently awarded WICS $4,000 towards our Greenhouse Project.  
Pictured is Lyle Smithson (IAHF), along with Greenhouse committee members: Martha Rypstra, Mason Gray, Kim Nichols, Jeff Swenski, Alisa Porier, Kevin Schmutzler, & Marli Kytta (WICS secondary science teacher who applied for the grant).
Other donations for this project came from Calvary Chapel, Christ United Methodist Church, Contrast Coffee, CoVantage Cares, Golden K, The Lions Club, Toby Brzoznowski, Whole Kids Foundation, WickWire, & Upper Peninsula Environmental.
We are accepting bids for the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing portion to complete the project so our students can start using the greenhouse.  For details, check out the bottom of our main website www.westiron.org.
