Kindergarten Round Up April 11

Beginning in the Fall of 2023 the West Iron County Public Schools will be offering an Early Kindergarten option for those children that need a less rigorously demanding day to build a strong foundation for Kindergarten. Both Early Kindergarten and Kindergarten are all day, everyday programs.

To qualify for Kindergarten and Early Kindergarten your child must;

1. be five by September 1st for Kindergarten, and must be five by December 1st for Early Kindergarten.
2. be assessed by our teachers,
3. provide a copy of their birth certificate,
4. provide a copy of their updated immunization records,
5. have a completed a registration packet,
6. two forms of proof of residency,
7. hearing & vision tests.

Copies can be made at the school office.

We hope all parents of incoming Kindergarteners will attend our Kindergarten Round-up. We look forward to meeting you and your child, and meet your education needs.

Kindergarten Round-Up will consist of opportunities to:

• Meet the teachers & tour classrooms.
• Sign up for our week of “Bridge to Kindergarten” (June 5-8 from 11:30-2:30)
• Registration information & handouts.
• Assessment scheduling (required) (April 24, 25, & 26)
• Vision & hearing screening completed by Dickinson-Iron Health Department at time of your kindergarten assessment.
